Some big names in indoor appliances are moving outdoors. Find out which companies introduced new grill and outdoor kitchen lineups at KBIS 2025 in Las Vegas.

Last week, champion pitmaster Christie Vanover of Girls Can Grill and host of The BBQ Tips Podcast attended the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas to explore the latest trends in outdoor kitchens and grilling.

With more than 1,800 exhibitors across 728,000 square feet of convention space and 80,000+ attendees, KBIS is one of the largest kitchen and bath expos in the world.

Vanover was on a mission to find the most innovative products in grilling and outdoor kitchens. Here’s what stood out for 2025.

Flammkraft Grill.

Flammkraft by Zwilling: A Next-Level Rotisserie

Flammkraft, a brand known for its sleek German-engineered grills, continues to innovate.

Last year, their grill design impressed Vanover with its side-mounted burners, which create consistent indirect heat while still allowing for high-powered searing.

For 2025, Flammkraft introduced a multi-spinning rotisserie. Unlike traditional rotisseries with a single spit, this version features multiple smaller spits, each rotating independently.

This design is revolutionary for cooking chicken wings, skewers or other small cuts of meat, ensuring even caramelization on all sides.

Flammkraft also unveiled a two-bin outdoor sink, available in permanent or temporary configurations. The flush sink lids allow it to double as a prep station when not in use, a smart space-saving feature for outdoor kitchens.

Blaze Grills: Meet the Outdoor Oven

At the Blaze Grills booth, Vanover discovered a unique new addition – the Blaze Outdoor Oven. Unlike traditional grills, this box-shaped oven is built for baking pizzas, casseroles, and even cookies outdoors.

One of its standout features is a vertical rotisserie, allowing meats to spin upright instead of horizontally.

Thor 2025 Grill.

Thor Kitchen: Indoor Meets Outdoor

Thor Kitchen, best known for its indoor appliances, is bringing its signature design style to the outdoor space. Their new 36-inch gas grill is built to match indoor kitchen aesthetics, making it ideal for homeowners who want a seamless transition between their indoor and outdoor cooking spaces.

Key features include:

  • Three main burners + a sear station
  • A rotisserie burner with an electric spit
  • Propane or natural gas compatibility
  • Ambient lighting on the dials
  • Halogen bulbs inside for better visibility

To complement their grills, Thor also introduced outdoor refrigerators and ice makers that produce 50-70 pounds of ice per day – perfect for keeping drinks cold in an outdoor entertainment space.

Tagwood BBQ: The Live Fire Experience

For fans of Santa Maria and Argentine-style grilling, Tagwood Grills showcased a lineup of live-fire cooking stations. Their grills feature adjustable height grates, allowing for precise control over charcoal or wood-fired cooking.

One of their most eye-catching products, The Beast, resembles a mini house with a domed top. It accommodates grilling, hanging meats and plancha cooking.

Smeg Electric Grill.

Smeg: It’s Electric!

Known for their retro-style refrigerators and small kitchen appliances, Smeg made a bold entrance into the outdoor grill market. Their new electric grill lineup comes in 24-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch models.

Plug-and-play: The one-burner model plugs into a standard outlet, while the two and three-burner models require an upgraded power source.

Indoor or outdoor use: Designed for versatility, this grill can be installed inside or outside – a great option for homeowners looking to cook with electric power instead of gas or charcoal.

While the grill currently only comes in stainless steel, Smeg’s reputation for colorful appliances suggests that bold color options could be on the horizon.

Forno Outdoor Kitchen.

Forno: A Modular Outdoor Kitchen for $3,000

For those looking for a budget-friendly outdoor kitchen, Forno Appliances is making luxury more accessible. Their modular outdoor kitchen system starts at just $3,000, significantly lower than the $10,000+ price tags often seen for custom-built setups.

The $3,000 base package includes:

  • A grill
  • Outdoor refrigerator
  • Sink
  • Cabinetry with hidden waste bin and countertops

Available upgrades:

  • $4,000 package adds a pizza oven.
  • $5,500 package includes a griddle and side burner.

With pre-assembled components and Dekton countertops (built to withstand all weather conditions), Forno’s system offers an easy solution for homeowners who want a stylish, turnkey outdoor kitchen without the hassle of custom construction.

True Residential Caliber Grill.

True Residential x Caliber Grills: The 360° Grill That Stole the Show

The biggest surprise for Vanover at KBIS 2025 came from True Residential, a brand known for its high-end refrigerators. This year, they unveiled a fully integrated outdoor kitchen lineup, in partnership with Caliber Grills and renowned designer David Rockwell.

360° design: Unlike traditional grills with lids that block the view, this grill features a concealed lid that disappears behind the grill when opened. This allows for uninterrupted conversation with guests and a better grilling experience.

Cross-flame burners: The 20,000 BTU burners have a unique oval-shaped design with crossbars, ensuring even heat distribution across the grates.

Customization: Homeowners can choose from multiple colors and hardware finishes to match their kitchen aesthetics.

Matching appliances: The True Residential lineup also includes:

  • Drawer-style refrigerators for easy access to meats and beverages
  • Ice makers that produce up to 85 pounds of ice per day
  • Beverage dispensers for beer, juice or soda

Pricing: The grills range from $5,000-$7,000, depending on size and features.

After exploring the latest innovations at KBIS 2025, Vanover is confident that outdoor kitchens are becoming more luxurious, functional and affordable.

Whether it’s high-end smart grills, budget-friendly modular kitchens or all-electric solutions, the industry is offering more choices than ever.
